Hello,guys here is my new blog.In this blog i will tell you about some of the mysteries of space

1: SIZE OF THE MILKY WAY.

Do you know what is the size of our galaxy MILKY WAY?.But before that do you know what is
light year.You know that speed of light is 3000000000 m/s.So,1 light year = distance covered by
light in one year.So,our MILKY WAY galaxy is 1,05,700 light years wide.

2: DAY TIME OF MARS.

MARS

MARS is the 4th planet in our solar system.So do you know the length of day on MARS.The length 

of day on MARS is 24 hr 39 min 35 sec.
                          

3: SIZE OF PLUTO.

PLUTO

We all know about Pluto.It is a planet in our solar system which rotates irregularly.So,the size of 

Pluto is even less than US.

4: LARGEST VOLCANO ON MARS.

We all know that what a volcano is?.But do you know that which is the biggest volcano?.If you
know than comment it.The largest or biggest volcano is Olympus Mons is present on Mars.It
covers about 602 km and its height is about triple the height of Mt.Everest.Its height is about
25 km.

5: THE RING OF MARS.

I know there no ring on Mars.But there will be a ring on Mars just like Saturn.After 20-40 million
years largest moon of Mars (Phobos) will be destroyed due to gravitational force of Mars and will
form a ring around Mars.

6: COST OF NASA's 1 SPACE SUIT.

NASA's SPACE SUIT

NASA is a popular space research organisation.It often sends astronauts in space or on other
planets.So,it requires a no. of space suits.The fact is that cost for making one space suit of
NASA is about 10-12 million dollars.

7: MYSTERIOUS NAME OF MARS.  

The ancient Greeks named the planet "the Ares",then Romans named this planet "Mars" because
of its red colour.Mars was also the name of their God of War.Different communities named it
differently like Chinese named it "the Fire Star" and Egyptian priests named it as "Her Desher" or
"the Red One".

8: MOUNTAINS ON PLUTO.

Pluto is a planet at the edge of solar system.NASA's New Horizon spacecraft found mountains
on Pluto.This type of geological activity requires energy.So,what is the source of energy for these
geological activities. The sun is too far away from Pluto to generate enough heat for geological
activity, and there are no large planets nearby that could have caused such disruption with
gravity.

9: TEMPERATURE VARIATION ON MERCURY.

Mercury is nearest to the SUN.It has no atmosphere due to which there is a great variation of
temperature on Mercury.During day temperature reaches up to 427°C and at night it drops down
to -173°C.

10: MERCURY IS SHRINKING.

Scientists believed that Earth was the only tectonically active planet in the solar system. That
changed after the Mercury surface, space environment and geochemistry spacecraft did the first
orbital mission at Mercury.Data from spacecraft proved that Mercury too is active in tectonic
activities.
