1: FOOTPRINTS ON SURFACE OF MOON.

You may have listened about Apollo mission of America to send humans of moon.So,when they
landed on surface of moon they left their footprints there.So,the fact is that their footprints are
there till now because there is no air on moon.So,the footprints will remain there for millions of
years more.

2: NEUTRON STARS CAN SPIN 600 ROTATIONS PE SECOND.

A neutron star is the smallest known particle of a star.A star is made up of millions of neutron stars.Their number of rotations is directly proportional to the time they were born.That is their rotational speed increases from 60 rotations per second to 600 rotations per second.

3: SPACE IS COMPLETELY SILENT.

Space is a very large area which has no air.We know that sound is the vibration in air.Due to
absence of air there is no vibration also.Therefore,space is completely silent.there is no sound
in space.

4: ONE SUN IS EQUAL TO ONE MILLION EARTHS.

We know that the Sun is the centre of our solar system and our planets revolve around the Sun.
The Sun takes up 99.7% (approx.) of entire mass of our solar system.So,fact is that one million
Earth(s) is equal to only one Sun.

5: IF TWO PIECES OF SAME METAL TOUCH IN SPACE.THEY WILL GET STRUCK FOREVER.

If two pieces of any metal come in contact with each other,they will join together forever.This
phenomena is called cold welding.This would not happen on Earth because air and water will
keep them separated.

6: INCREASE IN OUR HEIGHT IN SPACE.

Our planet earth has gravity which pulls us downward.But in space there is no gravity,therefore
our spine stretches out.Therefore,our height increases up to 5 cm in space.

7: THE HOTTEST PLANET IS VENUS.

We know that Mercury is the closest planet to the sun.But it is not the hottest planet.The hottest

of our solar system is Venus.Mercury has no atmosphere this means it is hot only when it is facing
the Sun.At this stage temperature of mercury is 425°C.But temperature of Venus at day time is
500°C.

8: THE LARGEST ASTEROID OF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM IS CERES.

The largest asteroid of our solar system is Ceres.Its diameter is about 600 miles.It is largest in the

Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter.Its surface is almost equal to land area of Argentina.

9: THE MEANING OF WORD 'ASTRONAUTS'.

The word 'ASTRONAUTS' come from two Greek words 'astro' which means star and 'nautes' which
means sailor.Therefore,'ASTRONAUTS' means the sailor of stars.

10: THE GIANT RED SPOT ON JUPITER.

RED SPOT ON JUPITER

You may have seen the Jupiter in images.It has a giant red circular type region as shown in the 

picture.Do you know what is this? This circular region is a giant cyclone which is there for about
300 years.Due to this cyclone the winds of Jupiter is very fast.
